Course Overview

Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant is one of the core units in all process sectors of Process Industry.  It specifies the skills and knowledge required by people to Supervise Workplace Safety & Health in Process Plant.

 

Learning Objectives

At the end of course, the learners should be able to:

·         Have the knowledge and application skills to carry out hazard identification and risk assessment

·         Comply with the safety and health management system

·         Co-ordinate a permit-to-work system

·         Carry out safety inspections and investigations.

 

Target Participants

The course is designed for foreman, supervisors, technicians, engineers or managers from the Process Industry

 

Assumed Skills and Knowledge

Learners are assumed to:

·         Listen, read, speak, and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) Level 5.

·         Manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS Level 5.

Theory lesson, individual/group learning activity, written assessment.
