Course Overview
Perform Work in Confined Space Operation is one of the core units which
specifies the skills and knowledge required
to safe entry and work in confined space.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the course, the trainees should be able to:

Identify duties and responsibilities of all personnel involved in confined space
work under the WSH Legislations and Code of Practices

Identify confined space hazards
·
Use gas detection instruments for atmospheric monitoring
·
Comply with permit-to-work system and safe work procedures when working in
confined space
·
Participate in an emergency for confined space
Target Participants
The course is designed for Confined Space Entrants and Confined Space Attendants
Assumed Skills and Knowledge
Learners are assumed to:
·
be able to follow written and oral work instructions
·
be able to listen, read, speak, and write English at a proficiency level
equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) level 2
·
be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability
Skills System (ESS) level 2

Theory lesson, practical hands-on exercises, written and practical assessment

Certification
Upon completion of the course and passing the assessment, a pass and Statement
of Attainment (SOA) will be issued to the participant.
The validity of the pass is 3 years.
