Course Overview

The "Supervise Safe Lifting Operations" course is aimed at providing individuals with the knowledge and skills to supervise the crane operator in the maneuver of a load safely to its destination.

 

Learning Objectives

After the completion of the course, participants will be able to equip with knowledge and application skills in carrying out supervision on lifting operation competently to meet WSH legislative requirements.

 

Target Participants

The Supervise Safe Lifting Operation Course is suitable for aspiring and experienced individuals assigned as Lifting Supervisor in the workplace.

This course is mandatory for individuals who are to be appointed as a Lifting Supervisor to supervise lifting operation involving any crane in the workplace.

 

Pre-requisite

Must be 21 years old an have:

·         completed WSQ Perform Rigger an Signalman Tasks course

·         relevant experience in lifting operations at least 3 months (supported by Company/Individual Application Letter to indicate periods of relevant experience in lifting operations)


And are assumed to b medically fit and ale to:

·         listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) Level 4

·         read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Level 4

·         manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Level 4

 

Learning Methodologies

Theory and practical lesson, individual/group learning activity, discussion on case studies, video show, written and practical assessment.

Course Duration

4 days (35 hrs)

 

Certification

Upon completion of the course and passing the written and practical assessment, a pass and Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be issued to the participant.
